When Opportunity Knocks

It’s Won’t He Do It Wednesday!

On Sunday, I went to a graduation to celebrate. Unfortunately, security would not allow me to come through because I had candy in my purse. The person who I was celebrating father had a razor with a holder and security still allowed him to go through.

I was not bitter, I just turned around to take the candy away. Actually, I had bought it for the graduates kids for being so good while their mother received her Master’s.

I return back in the line. Unfortunately, I was not with the graduates family anymore. I had to sit by myself. Fortunately, a black woman complimented me on my hair and we began to talk. I’m so extremely grateful that we sat next to each other with her handsome son.

Throughout the graduation we had an awesome conversation. Soon after, we exchanged numbers and now we are friends. She did not even know me but she encouraged me by saying so many wonderful things. I was able to interview her for a Church Testimony that was really great.

The graduation was over. As I waited patiently for the person who invited me, I saw the person that I sat next to come out. Her friend received his doctorate and I took a picture of them. I continued to text and call the person who invited me. Unfortunately, there was no answer or a returned text message.

While still waiting patiently for the person who invited me. I could not help but notice how happy and excited this black woman was about her friend who had just graduated. She was so grateful that the graduates family made it from Mississippi to attend. We had small talk and smiled at each other.

The crowd was getting smaller then I left because I could not find the person who graduated or her family. When I arrived at the parking deck. I saw the same woman who was excited about her friend graduating. I stopped her by saying this is no coincidence that we meet again.

I explained to her that I am a Faith-based blogger then asked her where do she fellowship. She said, Freshstart Church in Duluth, Ga. We exchanged numbers and I can’t wait to share her Church Testimony. Right now she’s on vacation living her best life.
I could have been frustrated because I did not get a chance to sit with the person who invited me or their family. God had another plan. I sat next to a beautiful woman who is from Atlanta and she had red hair just like the person who invited me and we became friends.

I could have been frustrated again because I could not find or take pictures with the graduate but God allowed me to meet a woman who was so excited for her friend who had graduated. I almost let her slip away but God allowed us to meet again so that I can display her Church testimony about FreshStart Church in Duluth, Ga.

We many never know why certain things happens but God already knows the beginning and the end. I’m so very grateful that I gained two new friends. I hope and pray that we will have the ability to recognize opportunities and take action to pursue them.

Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
