Things I learned from Genesis Chapter 12

It’s Tell the Truth Tuesday!!

Today, I was prompted in my spirit to read Genesis chapter 12. I learned a lot. God told Abram a lot of things about his future, what He would do and how all families would be blessed through him. The Lord appeared to Abram. Abram built altars and dedicated them to the Lord.

The juicy part was when Abram took his family to Egypt when there was a severe famine then lied to Pharaoh about his wife. The one thing that Pharoah knew was that God’s people are protected. Pharoah’s whole house became disease infested then Pharoah confronted Abram. After finding out the truth, Pharoah told Abram to get everything including what he blessed him with and leave.

Some people don’t know their worth even in a low place. I totally understand why and can relate. It’s not a good feeling to struggle and experience circumstances that are about to choke the life out of you. Stand up, confess God’s word while in the same not so good situation. I’ve cried many times, Lord why me? I have not done nothing but trust you and have been obedient. I’m so ready for the good times. I’m just keep it real.

Thank God, Abram was able to get out of the mess that he created. Unfortunately, my situations were beyond my control and I’ve continued to stay faithful. When God blesses me in the next season with much, I’ll stay faithful, give my testimonies and encourage others.

God has taught me that what he places on my heart a lot of times is not for me but for someone else. Read Genesis chapter 12. Tell me what you learned. I look forward to reading and responding to your comments.

Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
