Early one morning, I was walking and praying. This was my attempt to commune with God. Of course, I enjoy this time. I say this because I get to be myself in addition to being honest with what bothers me. From a distance, I saw a black man working hard. I walked over to him then gave him a compliment. Soon after, I asked him where was he from. He said, “Ghana.” I asked him if I could interview him about his work ethics.
Prince told me that he loves working for Walgreens. His co-workers said so many great things about him. One woman said that he taught her really well how to make photos and how to process them properly for customers. It’s like he is a jack of all trades. The day that I saw him, he was not processing photos, he was outside lifting a whole bunch of stuff and doing outside work. I was not surprised to hear all of these great things from another woman of a different race.
It’s so great to know that Walgreens has a program within that helps employees get their pharmacy license. The employees at Walgreens absolutely loves this program because in the long run it pays more and they are satisfied.
I asked Prince do he like the President of Ghana. He said, “Yes, because he speaks the truth. The president of Ghana is Nana Akufo-Addo. I am amazed at what a person from Ghana would say about their president. I was so curious as to what he would say about our new president in office. Prince said, “I like Joe Biden for the most part.” That was good enough for me.
I will continue to commend people who do good. Hard work does pay off in the long run. You never know who is watching. On this day, I caught a black man doing something good. That something good was him working hard to make a living for himself. Far to many times black people are labeled in a negative way. I am so extremely grateful for faithful hardworking men in America.
Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
