Praising Is a Lifestyle For Me

August 8, 2019

I know that this is a late post and I need to catch up. Life happens!

When I was a little girl I watched my mother praise God like it was everybody’s business. Now that I’m older, I understand why giving God the praise helps me not to feel and be defeated in my life journey. My mother told me to praise God through my good and my bad.

Music soothes my soul. It’s even better when I know the words to the song. When I don’t know the words, I will mumble and make up my own words to the music. Dancing makes it better because you can step to the beat. Even if you are not feeling well or can’t get around, you can just lay back listen and smile.

When things are going well for me, I still get my praise on. There have been times that things were not so great. That’s when I made sure to stay away from the slow sad songs that makes me cry. The music has to be upbeat to the point that you would want to get up and dance.

I know music is not the remedy for everything but it sure helps when the room is just quiet and your spirit needs to be uplifted. I encourage you to make praising God a lifestyle of fun. Today, I woke up with these words on my heart. It goes like this, You are my strength when I am weak
My savior provides for me.

Have a bodacious Day!
