Our Road Trip to Helen Georgia Fall Festival

I absolutely love hanging out with the Seasoned Saints at the church that I attend. You can expect to meet great people and have wonderful loving conversations. It is a total blessing to know that they carry the just in case stuff. You know, like breakfast, a snack for the road, candy, gum, mints, tissue, lotion or anything that you may have forgotten. Oh my goodness, they love to cook and bake too. Most of the men or laid back and so cool. I’m so extremely grateful that there is not an age limit on participating in the Seasoned Saints ministry. They embrace the youth and share so much wisdom. You will walk away with a good story, knowledge and gain lasting relationships.

Today, my son and I enjoyed our road trip to Helen, Ga. Since it was pouring down raining this morning, I forgot his stroller. While walking to the bus in the church parking lot. My feet felt like I was walking on sponges. Yes, my shoes were soaked. Starson fell asleep after the bus was in motion. He was a total character on the bus and many acknowledge us and engaged in conversation. Our first stop was a restroom break. He got a kick out of jumping down the big steps as I held his hands. When we went back to the bus,  he climbed back up the steps and to our seats.

I absolutely love the great customer service at M&J Home Cooking Country Buffet. The food was delicious. My favorite were the livers and Starson liked the corn. The score was 100. I expect a great score and customer service everywhere that I go. I asked the hostess did she help get the score to 100. She smiled with a sign of relief laugh then said, “Yes but it was really hard work.”

One of the Seasoned Saints recognized my son as a little praise and worship leader because she always see him at the alter at church getting down. She watched  Starson and shared food with him while I fixed our plates to eat. She held him until the high chair came. I will update this paragraph once I find out her name.

Only one not so good thing happened. I brought pull-ups just in case Starson had an accident. Well, He said, “Mommy, I have to go potty.” Everyone on the bus heard him. Our bus was leaving so he had to use a pull-up. He kept telling me no and that he wanted to go potty but it was to late but I had a plan. Pull-ups are for just in case we can’t make it to the restroom moments.

Finally, we were at the Fall Festival in Helen, Ga. Starson did not want to get off the bus. We sleep through the entire time while everyone else enjoyed themselves. I could not believe it. I was so sleepy too. My eyes felt like to big sumo wrestlers were hanging on my eyelids closing them shut.

The last stop was Farmhouse produce. They have a sense of humor. Above their sign it said,”Almost Famous No Awards Yet. I purchased some “scooby snacks” including an apple for Starson. I love the fact that they had the scripture above on their chalk board with some parts written in pink chalk.

Our trip ended with us taking a picture. Overall, this was a great trip. I look forward to the Seasoned Saints ministry meeting this month so that I can join.

Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
