My Mother Worked As A Janitor At Emory University For 14 to 15years Then Ended Her Employment With Lung Cancer

November is Lung cancer awareness month. Guess what? If you don’t have lungs, you can’t breathe. Air is extremely important to all of us. As a Galaxy’s Defender, my mother told me if I have the slightest inclination that something is wrong with my body, GO SEE A DOCTOR!

Of course, it broke my heart to find out that after 15YRARS OF UNINTERRUPTED EMPLOYMENT, a nodule was found on her long. Later, she tested and it was stage 4 lung cancer.

I drove my mother to Winship Cancer Cemter for Chemo. Unfortunately, on one occasion she was not given a warm blanket while receiving Chemo. After a not so pleasant encounter with a complaint, finally my mother was given a warm blanket. I couldn’t believe that would happen to a cancer patient.
