Let Kindness Ripple

It’s Won’t He Do It Wednesday!

No matter what you are going through or how the world and others have labeled you, continue to spread kindness.

Yesterday, I gathered up my last eight dollars to get gas. As I was walking out of QT on Thornton Rd. A black strong man held the door open for me. I smiled then said, “Thank you and may God bless you.” He smiled back saying thanks!

While I was pumping gas, I saw him walk out. I nodded my head in efforts to let him know to have a good day.

Shortly afterwards, He drove up then stopped while saying excuse me ma’am I really needed that. He stated that he was surprised to hear my sincere words because you don’t hear that too often.

I introduced myself as a married woman with three children and currently experiencing homelessness. I told him the church I attend in Hope’s that he will attend one day. I asked him to look to see all of our things packed to the ceiling of the vehicle.

He asked me was my husband okay I said, “ Yes, he works hard everyday and we will be okay while looking for a rental property. I told him that I would keep him in my prayer before we departed.

Also, I acknowledge that I have a faith based blog and asked him was it okay for me to feature a post about him. He said, “Yes.”

I’m extremely thankful, grateful and ecstatic that God used me. God knew my heart despite my feeling of despair and showed himself strong in this small gesture.

The wonderful encounter that I had with Mr. Eric Burns from the Department of Public Safety was a blessing. I hope and pray that the Dept. of Pubic Safety continue to hire people like him. Kind words goes a long way and will help you have a GOOD DAY!

God is Good. ALL THE TIME!!! Hallelujah, Thank you Lord!

Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
