It’s Melody Monday!
Psalms 100: Says it all for me.
I believe in my heart that I have the shouting part of this scripture down pack because when I’m excited or want to make someone smile and feel special, I scream to the tip top of my lungs with excitement. Of course, I’m absolutely over the top when I get my praise on to God while thanking Jesus!
I’ve lost count of the many time that I’ve worshiped with gladness. As a child, I witnessed my mother waking up in the wee hours of the morning to worship God. She would walk through the house while singing gospel songs or whatever song uplifted her Spirit. I would wake up saying to myself, really ma! My mother would disrupt everyone’s sleep to praise God. As an adult, nothing changed with her praise and worship. She did not care if family or company was over, she would still get her praise on. I learned at a very early age how to worship God with gladness. Yelp, my mom would be smiling too. She knew that the Lord was God and everyone in the house knew it too. I’m extremely grateful for the example she set in our home.
Praise will get you through and change your attitude. If you are having a bad day, get your praise on. Listening to music is great but when you open your mouth it takes you to another level and you may even dance or bob your head to the beat.
Yesterday, I was in a good mood. I was singing, “Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah he is wonderful. I even recorded myself singing and my voice was on on point.
I love this part of the scripture that says, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” When you participate in the praise, it puts you at ease. You will feel a since of gladness. The anticipation of the next song really ignites the fire inside of you. Once this happens, your mood changes then you won’t want to stop singing. I just want to keep it real with you. You will have a good day or your day will be bearable when you get your praise on.
One day, I called my mother for comfort, she told me something that I did not want to hear. She listened to what I had to say which was not good news. To my surprise, she told me to get my praise on during the bad, it’s easy to praise God when everything is going your way. Amazingly, with all the strength that I had, I got my praise on then seen the miraculous happen. I can’t wait to write a blog post about it.
Despite how we may feel or what might be going on in our lives, good or bad. God is good and is faithful through all generations. His loves endures forever. I can surely attest to this scripture with facts of things in my own life. For example, sin, I’ve falling short but through people, places and things God made me aware of them so that I can correct my course. It’s your choice, choose wisely. I choose life, I don’t want to live in hell or go to hell.
I encourage you to sing, no matter what situation you are in….SING! THERE IS POWER IN YOUR PRAISE AND WORSHIP UNTO THE LORD!
Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
