The year that I volunteered, it was not at the shelter on their property at Must Ministries Shelter. My assignment was to go to this remote location which was a warehouse that was close by.
I forgot what type of vehicle that I was driving. When I arrived it was me and another woman assigned to separate clothes and do various things that needed to be done. I don’t recall taking a break or receiving a snack. I volunteered out of kindness and compassion for the homeless while hoping and praying that I would never be in that situation.
Unfortunately, after many stable years on my feet and after my second child. I fell on need of a shelter. I lived there for 31 days in March of 2019 but did not receive the help that I needed.
