Did you know that smoking is the leading cause of preventable death’s? Cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 480,000 deaths per year in the United States, including more than 41,000 deaths resulting from secondhand smoke exposure. This is about one in five deaths annually, or 1,300 deaths every day.
Here’s more terrible news about smoking. Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis.Smoking is a known cause of erectile dysfunction in males. I know for a fact women want their men to perform well. I’m just keeping it real
First hand smoking, second hand smoking and third hand smoking are all bad. I don’t have one good thing to say about any of them. Smokers understand the risk, jeopardize their friends and families health. The smell of smoke lingers on their clothes even though cologne or perfume is used in attempts to cover that stinky smell.
A person who smokes lungs suffer and the people who are around them suffer the same fate which is death from second hand smoke..
Also, their voice may change and they might have a constant cough of mucus. I understand that some people reach for this deadly habit to relieve stress. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of help available. I really do care that’s why I’m blogging about this vicious killer.
I witnessed the worst thing ever at a park. I was sitting at the picknic table area while watching my child on the play ground. There were a group of chain smokers in the same area watching their children on the play ground too. It was awful. I had to inhale the smoke for a short time then I moved to the play ground. I could still smell the smoke because the area where the chain smokers were was very near to the play area.
No one should have to suffer by inhaling smoke at a public park or anywhere else if it’s so hazardous. There are so many laws that are passed and it’s heartbreaking to see children suffer with no one to speak up for them. I’m so very thankful for all the individuals who put their cigarettes and other smokes for kids. Thank you so very much and I appreciate you!
What are your thoughts on smoking around kids?
