I was told by this white woman that sugar water has some type of benefit for newborns. I was curious to know the who, what, when and why they do it. Shortly after a newborn is born a certified nurse gives them sugar water.
I have never in my life heard of such thing like this. What I do know is that every baby needs colostrum from the mothers breast because it coats the newborns stomach and strengthens their immune system along with other great benefits.
I wonder what is the ratio of babies that gets sugar water.
