A Bodacious Friend Was There For Me

August 2, 2019

It’s Face the Facts Friday!

I’m so extremely grateful how God allowed my “Bodacious Friend” to help me in my time of need. I left work then told my employer that I was going to Emory. I was hospitalized for nearly a month. My friend who is a licensed attorney helped me at no charge and I appreciate her dearly. She has faith in God, so positive and knows me well.

My friend started my short-term leave benefits and they were approved. I did not have a medical power of attorney and she drew up legal paperwork and completed it. When I was in the hospital, she came to see me, comfort me and helped me.

She called to make sure that my daughter had food and other items and was there for her in any way that she could.

I was so overwhelmed with grief when lung cancer destroyed my mother’s earthly body. My Bodacious friend created the praise CD that played during her wake service.

When I got married for the second time, I did not have all money to do what I wanted. I started a Go Fund Me. She flew in from her hometown and was my bridesmaid. My finance were so out of whack that I was not able to give any of my bridal party gifts or able to send thank you cards for the people who came.

At the time my daughter and I stayed in Atlanta with family. When I got out of the hospital, I was about to get put out on the street with my daughter.
Fortunately, I spoke to my friend who is an attorney and she stated that family member could not do us like that. She drew up legal paperwork that allowed us to stay for at least 30days.

After that we were accepted into the City Of Refuge Homeless shelter. She returned to her home state with her family but we kept in touch.

I’m extremely grateful for my Bodacious friend who helped me without asking for anything in return. When I was up and had it going on I stayed humble, volunteered and prayed. My Bodacious friend was there, we went went to church, the jazz festival and other wonderful places.

I’m extremely thankful that God allowed me to see how a real friend operate. I believe in my heart that the enemy sent the cruelest attack on my life to kill me. I’m here today and will continue to praise my way through.

Have a Bodacious and Miraculous Day!
