It’s Won’t He Do It Wednesday!
On Sunday, Porsche took me and her brother out to dinner at Steak-N-Shake. While we were waiting on our food. I asked Porsche what are her short-term and long-term goals. She smiled then began to tell me.
Suddenly, our waiter entered our conversation by consigning my statement. I was surprised that he heard us.
Soon after, he came to our table to give us his testimony of how no one ever took the time to ask him those questions when he was growing up. He had to find out own his own. Now he has turned his pain into music.
He became a product of his environment and that’s the name of one of his rap songs.
His dreadlocks were nice and the ends were dipped in color. I gave him a compliment on his hair. He engaged even more about his appearance. Our time there was definitely one to remember.
Also, he was excited that he has a scheduled interview with a local radio station about his music this week.
I’m extremely grateful to God that this
young man was in a restuarant working to make his earnings rather than out on the street doing major crimes.
God can use anybody. Fortunately, his response deepen my conversation with my daughter. This encounter was unexpected but the impact was huge to me.
